Why are there so many blogs? I’ll bet you’ve wondered this too.
Are we all closeted writers? (or maybe not so closeted, depending). Are we looking for a place to vent? Or, are we all simply voices striving to be heard.
All of the above, I’d guess.
As for me, this isn’t my first blog. Nor do I think it will be my last. Over the last few years I’ve started several blogs, some with very specific topics and some more generic. Some were “well read” (if you consider a small but loyal following “well read”) and some…well…not so much.
This time around, I felt like I needed to find my voice on a wider range of topics. We’ll see how that goes.
I’ll try and mix things up a bit and you might not always agree… and that’s OK. I love a heated debate so comment to your heart’s content. Check out the About Me page to see where I stand on some things. And who knows…along the way we might open some new doors and change some minds.
I hope you’ll join me for the ride.

I shall grace your blog with its first comment.
This is so, so bizarre. Over the last few days, I was mulling over the idea of starting an AWESOME anonymous blog to talk about issues that I might not necessarily want on my regular old momblog. The name of the planned blog? Suburban Soapbox!! Clearly you are extremely cool and are a genius of wizard-like qualities… like me.
Too bizarre, huh?! You just started it.
I’m subscribing to your feed, for you are awesome.

Thanks, Jill.
I feel a little less freakish in my “wizard-like qualities” knowing you are out there.
